He had finally reached the top of the summit- the only man to ever reach the top. And he did it all alone. No one was there to help show him the way, no one was there to cheer him on. Just him and the worn out arms that hung at his side. He felt accomplished in a sense- going where no man had ever gone and not letting the massive mountain stop him in his tracks. But no one even knew what he had done. Some would say it was the loneliest place in the world. Other men standing in his place might’ve jumped. Some others might’ve let the cold creep into their bones slowly and let their bodies waste away. But this man stood alone and stared at the world until the icy air blurred his vision. This man stood alone and carved his name into the rock. This man stood triumphant, then prepared for his trek back down.
